Modern communications satellites require high pointing accuracy to track Earth-based beacons for satellite positioning. The Honeywell autotrack modulator provides the ability to track these beacons without using any additional channels on the satellite’s receivers. It combines the tracking signals with the communications signals so they can pass through a receiver together and be separated.
Ferrite-based autotrack modulators are very low loss, highly reliable and have very low performance drift over life. They also have unique features such as electronically controlled phase trimming for the various paths through the autotrack.
